Great to clear congestion from colds and allergies. A mix of herbs with a touch of menthol crystals.
DIRECTIONS: Mix one teaspoon with 4 cups boiling water. Remove from heat and place towel over head and breathe in.
Each package has 5 teaspoons of herbal mix.
Contains:
Thyme-acts as an expectorant, loosens phlegm. Thymes active ingredient is thymol. Thymol has strong antibacterial, anti-microbial, and antiseptic properties.
Peppermint-kills certain bacteria, funguses, and viruses. Can help relieve a stuffy nose and soothe a sore throat. Peppermint contains menthol which helps thin mucos and loosens phlegm.
Sage-contains thugone and camphor which helps break up congestion and ease chest tightness
Rosemary-contain camphor, cineplex and borneol which these compounds have adequate amounts of antibacterial properties. Rosemary has been used to clear head colds, reduce fever and headaches and broings relief from coughs and congestion.
Ginger-hot properties stimulate circulation and produces a mild sweat reaction. Excellent for breaking up congestion and clearing sinus passages.
Dried Orange Peel-contains aromatic compounds that are antiseptic, that reduce phlegm, lessens muscle spasms, and increase circulation through perspiration. Citrus peel has been used to treat coughs, colds, flu, fever and bronchitis when combined with other herbs in inhalation remedy/therapy.
Eucalyptus-is recommended for relieving nasal and sinus congestion usually from colds and flu
Lavender-contains linalool which has been found to relax bronchial passages, reducing inflammation
Sea Salt-helps to reduce mucus build up, moisturizes dry mucous membranes and eases constricted breathing
Menthol Crystals-soothes irritated, inflamed and congested sinuses plus promotes mucus expulsion
